That was one of the numerous titles reporting the water landing on the Hudson River. And oh yeah, you know it's got me steaming. Miracle?
Miracle?!
And of course, then you have the personal accounts from the survivors. Who do they thank first? Yeah, "The Lord". Come on. You folks should be making a bank account for Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger of Danville, California and make sure that he never has to worry about a penny for the rest of his life. You should be thanking him first and foremost. You are alive because of his wits and balls of steel. No other reason.
"We had a miracle on 34th Street. I believe now we have had a miracle on the Hudson," Gov. David Paterson said.
Does he not know how offensive that is to Mr. Sullenberger? Regardless if Mr. Sullenberger is a religious man or not. When will people wake up and realize that to thank some sky friend for them living through a catastrophe is the highest order of toxic self-centeredness?
As some of you know, I've recently been learning a flight simulator. I'll admit, I suck at it. So far. But I can tell you this, Sully and his co-pilot - who's name I cannot find at the moment - knew their shit.
"It was intense. It was intense. You've got to give it to the pilot. He made a hell of a landing," survior Jeff Kolodjay said.
Yeah Jeff, you got it right.
